At heart I am an Engineer. I studied Mechatronic Engineering at the University of Sydney graduating with Honours. I am a member of the Australian Institute of Engineers. I currently work at Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) located in Westmead, Sydney.

After graduating I worked as a programmer in process control at Citect (now owned by Schneider Electric). I ran the support programming team, excelling at eradicating bugs from the software.

In 2000 I took on the role of ICT Manager at CMRI, starting as a one man band. I grew the ICT to its current size of 10. In 2012 I was appointed Acting Head of Operations and then Head of Operations in 2013. Now I oversee all infrastructure at CMRI, using my engineer heritage to full advantage.
