Weather

I have always been interested in weather and the recording of it. Early days of emptying out a rain gauge were also laborious so my engineering mind set to create a set and forget weather solution.

My first set up was a entry level science shop style station with basic software. However it was not enough. Now I have an advance data logger with industry grade sensors. In you look at the image carefully you will see an ultrasonic wind sensor at the top of the flag pole.

My weather station is online at http://carlingfordweather.sydney. The site includes integration of Bureau of Meteorology forecast data and a local web cam pointing west towards the blue mountains. The weather station runs with Weewx Linux based software of which I contribute website skins and other extensions.
